With this being my first pre season with AFC as Manager it is one that was a very fast paced, with lots going on both behind the scenes and the playing side of things but also one that I can say I have thoroughly enjoyed. The team is completely new so lots of work has gone into sourcing the right personal with the right character and beliefs that mirror the expectations of myself and the football club and more importantly those of the supporters. The lads have applied themselves superbly both as a group and as individuals, displaying superb attitudes towards everything we have thrown at them so hats off to them for that. My management team deserve a special mention for always going above and beyond for me and the players to ensure the sessions and my plans get delivered in a well structured manor and plenty of thought behind things like the recovery aspect to enable us to work to our full capacity at every given opportunity to ensure the lads are ready. Ryan/Curtis/Hilly/Dan/Klunk/Spud/Wokko 👏🏼 I would like to go on record and thank our opponents throughout pre season for providing the desired tests we were looking for at those particular times.
